In 1952 the Woman's Club organized the first library in Franklin Lakes. Located in the former country store on Pulis Avenue, it survived for the first six years with an all volunteer staff. As the library out grew the space,the library moved to a donated trailer on the corner of Pulis and Franklin Avenues.
