Enrich, Enlighten, Educate, Empower

Friend (frend) n. 1. A person whom one knows well and is fond of. 2. An ally, supporter.

Define yourself as a friend of the Franklin Lakes Public Library!

Dear Neighbor,

When you support the Franklin Lakes Public Library by becoming a Friend you are touching everyone in the community. Our state-of-the-art library is one of our town’s greatest assets, offering every resident free resources and a wide variety of programs for all ages, handpicked by its caring and professional staff to inform, delight, and entertain.

Your membership is critical in so many ways: helping to fund books, books on CD, MP3 Playaways, music CD’s, family and senior specials, the Peek-A-Book reading kiosk for preschoolers, free family-packs to the American Museum of natural History, and more, including our extremely successful Live Homework Help by Tutor.com – an outstanding online tutor service for children in grades K- 12 that is free to all Franklin Lakes residents with a library card.

We always welcome new Friends! We are very grateful to both new and dedicated members, and invite any who want to become even more involved to jump onto our executive board and be an active participant in planning our fundraisers, art show, and popular spring author’s luncheon at the Indian Trail Club.

Your membership makes this library what it is – special. So please take a moment and join us! Because we all know there is nothing as valuable as a good friend.

Sincerely,

The Friends of the Franklin Lakes Library

P.S. Remember, you still have an opportunity to lay an engraved brick in our “Friendship Path” – it makes a perfect remembrance gift. Please see the enclosed order form.

P.S.S. If you ever donate $500 or more, we will most appreciatively add your name on a leaf as part of our beautiful, ongoing mural in the Quiet Reading room. If you haven’t stopped on the second floor and peeked in to admire local artist Liz Barbagallo’s handiwork, please do!
